1949-50 Allan Cup winner with the Toronto Senior Marlboros.
1947-48 Memorial Cup with the Port Arthur West End Bruins.
1954-55 New York Ranger MVP. the youngest player in Ranger history to win MVP in that era.
1954-55 Runner up for the Lady Byng Trophy. (Losing to Sid Smith of the Toronto Maple Leafs)
1954 Voted to AHL All Star team.
1955 Voted to NHL second All Star team.
1950-51 2nd runner-up in voting for Calder Trophy for rookie of the year. (Losing to Terry Sawchuk, Detroit Red Wings)
